Snowday

The first snowday of the year, a glorious occasion that must be celebrated. Today I did absolutely nothing. I can personally think of no better way to celebrate than by not leaving the house all day. I filled my day with cooking, homework, video games, watching basketball, and of course Netflix. A thrilling day and I regret nothing.

My Saturday

Today at 1, I drove across town to pick up my mom's dogs. My mom has two dogs, and when she goes out off town she pays me to watch them. While this may seem like an easy task, I also have a puppy of my own. 3 hyper dogs at once is not easy, let me tell you. I am going to have my hands full considering my mom does not arrive home for another 8 days.

My Friday

Today was nice. I spent a large amount of time cleaning my house, as well as relaxing the rest of the day once again. In addition to cleaning, I spent all day catching up on laundry, doing load after load until completion. Nothing much else to say, my life is that of a 40 year old.

My Thursday

Thursday was a real drag. Beginning with a rough quiz in science followed by a never ending lecture. Just when I thought a class could not go by any slower, macroeconomics rolled around. By the end of my second class I felt like I had been on campus for days. After getting out of class, I had a slow relaxing rest of my day and unwinded at home. While the weekend started slow, relaxing was definitely the way to kick it off.
Blogger Week 2: The concept of destroying ones journal upon completion is fascinating. While some may want to destroy it to protect their personal thoughts, others may want to keep theirs to look back upon in the future and flow through the nostalgia. I feel if I was to have ever kept a journal, the outcome of the journal would greatly have depended on the content inside. If I had kept a journal as a kid sharing all of my most personal thoughts and a feelings, I would have definitely destroyed it. Growing up in a three child family privacy was not always at an abundance, nor would have I trusted anyone in my house to not read it. However, if there was nothing incredibly terrible for my family to read and it did not contain my most deep secrets, I would have kept it just to reminisce. I feel for me, it would have completely depended on the contents. I feel privacy is very important, especially for family. With that being said, if it was a personal journal with my thoughts, I would d...

Week 1: Words have power

I have never been one to keep a journal or diary. As a kid growing up with ADHD, writing anything other than what was required of me was a challenge.   Never would have I gone out of my way to try to write in any type of planner or diary, nor would have I been able to have not lose one. However, with maturity I have come to understand the purpose of writing, and how it can translate our words to others who our voice is unable to reach.  I feel that the internet can do a better job of that than any paper can, so therefore I believe writing on the internet has its own niche and overall helps civilization. Oversharing can be a big safety issue, but I do not see it as causing anyone to lose a sense of purpose or voice. I feel anyone who sees oversharing on the internet as valid reason for losing ones voice is just out of date with todays time and changing world. I think others feel such a sense of enjoyment of reading others online journals due to the same reasons people rea...

Youthful Travels

While I was reading the article, it stuck out to me when the author was talking about Europe. It made me ponder back to my youth. Sauce master was sauce minor- the cheddar was yet to age. When I was six, my family flew to Europe to go on a cruise leaving from Venice. While in Venice, I truly fell in love with the city. Even though I was so young, Venice stuck out to me. I discovered my true passion for trying diverse foods. All I remember was tasting an authentic European pizza. As a kid I also had an immense passion- a passion for pizza. For some reason this meal stuck with me and I am currently planning a trip to Venice to reexperience the beauty of the city... and pizza.
